How to setup your new VersoChat account

SUMMARY

This article provides tips on how to setup your new VersoChat account. You will learn how to create new Live Chat Support Departments, Operators and how to integrate chat with your website!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Login Securely - After your new account has been created you must login as Admin by going here:



    After successful login, you will be transferred to a secure server.

  2. Create New Department - After login, click "Manage Departments", from the left Admin Menu. Enter your Department details and customize your features. After completing the form, click Submit.



  3. Create and assign Operators - After creating new Department, go to "Manage Operators" from the left Admin Menu.

      Step 1: Create an Operator
    • Fill in the information about your Operator
    • Enable Operator Rating - visitors can rate Operators after speaking with them through Live Support
    • Enable Operator to Operator Chats - Operators will be able to chat with each other through their consoles
    • After completing this form click "Add/Edit Operator" button!




      Step 2: Assign Operator to Department
    • Fill in the information about your Operator
    • Enable Operator Rating - visitors can rate Operators after speaking with them through Live Support
    • Enable Operator to Operator Chats - Operators will be able to chat with each other through their consoles
    • After completing this form click "Add/Edit Operator" button!




      Step 3: View and Assign Operators Request Order
    • Now simply manage the Request Order for each Operator
    • Also from this point you can easily remove Operators from specific Department
    • Example from screenshot: If a visitor requests chat for Support D. and Operator "op2" is currently in a chat, visitors request will be automatically transfered to Operator "op1"




  4. Generate HTML Code - Once Departments and Operators are successfully created, you may now generate HTML code. From the left hand Admin Menu, click "Generate HTML Codes". From this page you will be able to generate HTML code fro ALL of your departments or only for a specified Department.




    After clicking which code to generate, simply copy the code and paste onto your website.
    TIP: In order to track visitors throughout the entire website, you must include this code on every web page you would like to track!



  5. Congratulations! - You have successfully setup your new VersoChat account.
